Product Description
Trona causticization process firstly pulverizes, dissolves and clarifies trona, and then causticizes lime milk into clear liquid. The clear liquid obtained after clarification of caustic liquid is evaporated once and the impurity salt is removed by filtration. After secondary evaporation, filtrate is filtered and desalted. Finally, the filtrate is boiled to produce caustic soda flakes.
When storing solid caustic soda flakes in the chemistry laboratory, attention should be paid to sealing the reagent bottle to prevent exposure to the air to absorb water deliquescence or react with carbon dioxide. Caustic soda can be obtained by electrolysis of salt solution, or by reaction of sodium carbonate with milk of lime.
